Round bars offer the advantage of automatically accommodating loads on curved roofs (i.e. all cars), allow accessories to be rotated flat when not in use for improved aerodynamics and overhead clearance.

Round bars are also about 15% stronger than competitive rectangular bars, making the rack more rigid and durable.

NOTES ON CUTTING BARS:
Bars can be cut down to length. Use a hack saw to cut roundbars to any custom length. Do not use a tubing cutter as it would damage the HDPE coating. The endcaps will conceal any rough edges. Note that the section of bar that extends past a tower can be used to support loads or attach accessories. Be sure to leave at least an inch on each side for the bar end-caps, or two inches for accessories like the BoatLoader, as there is no good way to re-lengthen a bar.

• Pre-galvanized welded steel tubing with a high-density polyethylene coating
• End caps NOT included -- end caps are included with every set of tower foot packs because that is the most common time that people need them -- attempts to package the end caps with the crossbars have been in vain since once installed they don’t come off easily, and they are hard to protect during shipping
• Load bars cannot be installed without the addition of the proper accompanying foot pack (and fit kit, if needed). Foot Packs are required in order to mount the load bars to the top of the vehicle -- Check FIT GUIDES to determine the correct foot pack needed for your vehicle
